Suggestion for Christmas Season

The holidays are that time of year when friends and family gather together to celebrate traditions, create new memories and cherish the times they have together.  I have a long list of favorite holiday traditions that my family and I partake in each Christmas season.  It starts with the hunt for the perfect Christmas tree, then gets a little competitive with who can make the best gingerbread house, lots of delicious food is made with love and happily consumed, and it all culminates with the annual lip sync contest.  I could go on for days…and that is why I love the holiday season, there is so much fun to be had!
Another one of my favorite holiday traditions is attending all the wonderful Christmas parties, but along with those comes the underlying questions that the fashion Grinch always asks,” but what do I wear?”  Of course you have your ugly sweater parties, which really makes things easy, because all you have to do is deck yourself out in some festive gear and you are good to go.  But, what about those parties where you want to get a little dolled up — they can sometimes present the greatest challenge.  Here are a few tips that I rely on when faced with a holiday party fashion crisis…
  1. A dress is the easiest outfit to wear, you can accessorize with a shawl and or some sparkling jewelry – a little bling never hurts!
  2. Feel free to branch out with your color choices. Lovely shades of red, green, and blue are a nice alternative if you usually opt for basic black.
  3. If there isn’t a blizzard outside, wear a little heel with your outfit, this dresses you up automatically.
We would love to hear your holiday traditions, memories and tips for dressing up so, please spread the cheer!
