Everyone always talks about how difficult it is to shop for swimwear and I’ve actually never heard anyone contest this notion. I’ve always wondered why the same stigma isn’t attached to shopping for pants because for me, the hunt for jeans and trousers that fit just right is equally frustrating.

There is nothing worse than a pair of ill-fitting pants. We’ve all been there before; from the too tight and uncomfortable to the sagging fabric that adds lumps where we don’t want them. When it comes to pants, it feels near impossible to find the perfect fit and because they are such an integral part of our wardrobe, they cannot be overlooked entirely or given up on. For me, this issue has become so frustrating that I have gotten into a pattern of either wearing the one pair of jeans that does fit just right on major repeat or giving up altogether and relying on leggings…

As temps continue to dip, I find myself craving that cozy, comfy feeling when I get dressed every morning.  Not wanting to sacrifice style altogether but also unwilling to freeze by butt off, I turn to some of my favorite fall fabrics that are sure to keep me snug.

One of my favorite fabrics to wear this time of year is corduroy. I love that cord pants are casual enough to be substituted for basic denim but offer more insulation and have a luxe feel.  They also tend to come in fun, seasonal colors which add some spice to my cold weather wardrobe! Woman Within offers an amazing selection of corduroy but my personal favorite are these pants featuring an elastic waistband.  These come in a beautiful variety of colors and can easily be dressed up or down.  The elastic waist offers an extra element of comfort while the streamlined leg adds a sophisticated feel.

Another favorite Fall fabric is thermal.  Great on its own and of course for layering, thermal will help insulate your body’s heat without adding extra bulk.  I love this long sleeve thermal top which comes in a wide variety of beautiful colors.  I consider this to be a wardrobe staple and would suggest stocking up on a couple colors that you can rotate through the entire season.  Wear it under a sweater for optimal warmth or just alone with a puffer vest on top for a casual look!

My final go to fabric this time of year is of course knits; sweaters are my most important wardrobe staple from October through March year after year.   When I want comfy and cozy I reach for pieces that offer full coverage and do not have a confining fit; like this swing style turtleneck  which just screams comfort to me!

How to Choose a Flattering Women's Sweater

When you need to add an extra layer in chilly weather, women's sweaters are the perfect answer. But if you're worried about feeling frumpy in your sweater, you may be hesitant to add that layer. However, a Woman within flattering sweater  is easy to find if you know what to look for. Each sweater you buy doesn't have to be exactly the same in order for it to complement your figure, as long as you keep at least a few key features in mind each time you shop at Woman Within.

Here are some tips for you to choose a perfect Sweater :

1. Look at length: If your sweater ends at your widest part, it will draw a line with them and draw attention there, so think about where you want that line to be. Look for a sweater that ends just above your hips if you're worried that your sweater will make your hips and thighs look heavy. If you are plus size, look for sweaters that are long enough to cover it. To avoid creating the line altogether, look for cardigans with asymmetrical hems.
2. Mind the materials: If sweaters make you feel bulky all over, search for sweaters made of finer knits. Cashmere sweaters are often very thin, but they'll still give you a lot of warmth. Viscose and cotton are also good materials to look for, but even wool can work if it's in a flat knit.

Early Winter Favorites

The last leaves of fall is going away. Weather  becomes colder and it's time to say hello Winter 2014.

Here are my favorites for the month!

1) A hot cup of coffee: A beloved hot coffee cups is a wonderful thing I suggest running out and sampling what the season has to offer immediately! A novel and a little bitter coffee make me fall in the winter early afternoon.

2) Light weight sweaters: For a few sweet weeks we can wear our favorite lightweight sweaters without having to pile layers and jackets on top of them.  Enjoy it while it lasts and pair yours back to denim and booties for a chic and simple daytime look!  My absolute favorite for this weather is light sweater!

3) The return of Fall TV: No more reruns and waiting, September means new programming to fall in love with and new seasons of our favorite shows!  Which new series are you most excited to get hooked on?

4) Outdoor walks: With the opportunity to take a long stroll and not feel like I’m suffocating from heat or freezing my tush off, it is the time to get your walk on before snow and rain make all things are worse.  The crisp air and sunshine are good for the soul and of course a little outdoor activity is always a good thing!

5)  Light nail colors:  After several months of  fall colors , I’m excited to embrace some colorful tones on my digits! Special reds and light green are a favorite of mine to make bright winter day.

I look in towards her and can clearly see
That she is there looking back at me
I gaze upon her reflection clear
She looks backs at me and sheds a tear

I know this woman that I doth see
From her prison cell she smiles unto me
She no longer screams and tells me why
Imploring that she can no longer live a lie

I ask her what is it that I may do
To help her be both alive and true
To both herself and unto me

What I then hear her utter so clear
